PF12.1W fits widescreen Notebook computers with a diagonally measured 12.1″ viewable screen; actual filter dimensions are 6.46″ high x 10.29″ wide. This filter is designed for widescreen laptop computers with screens that appear more rectangular than square. Great for high traffic areas such as airports, airplanes, internet cafes and other public areas. Notebook privacy filters keep confidential and private information private. Utilizes 3M(TM)’s microlouver privacy technology so only persons directly in front of the monitor can see the image on screen; passersby see only a dark screen.

    Made in USA. Good product. Although it dims the brightness of my screen, but works out great for my notebook. Exactly fit my screen, just needs some time to use to this product.

    I rated 4 stars because it was too expensive and filtered the brightness of my screen even looking directly. Other than that,I can’t think of anything else.

    Great product, easy to install, I wish I can try the 3M Gold Privacy Filter-3M PFG13.3W Widescreen Notebook privacy screen to compare the differences.

    Love it, I bought this for my traveling laptop. The privacy is as promised, I love it. I will be buying another for my 17″ laptop and separate monitor.

    This is the 2nd 3M notebook privacy filter that I have owned, and this one did not disappoint. Glare is reduced, the viewable angle is perfect, and it attaches cleanly. It fits perfectly on my ASUS Eee PC 1005HA-PU1X-BK 10.1-Inch Black Netbook – 10.5 Hour Battery Life.

    Something to note:

    There are two mounting options for this screen. One is with tabs that you stick on the side of your screen that then hang over the edge and hold the filter in place. This allows for you to be able to remove the filter, but also means the filter can shift and occasionally fall out during opening/closing/transit (I used this method on my first laptop screen).

    The second method is using four clear sticky tabs to attach the filter directly to the screen. This means that you won’t be able to take the filter on and off easily, but it does hold in place really well. You do suffer a little loss of image at the four corners where you use the sticky tabs. It is not a huge loss, but enough to know where the tabs are. You also want to make sure you put them on firmly and get rid of air bubbles or you will have a very noticeable loss of clarity (live and learn).

    All in all this is a great product at a great price.
