This is the first Acer product that I’ve purchased and I’m really impressed with it so far. I really like the keyboard, particularly the calculator feature. Programs run smoothly and quickly too. I would highly recommend this laptop.

This is a great laptop for those not serious about development work. The battery isn’t that great, but then I am never running my laptop for greatest battery life. I need power at all times. Intel VT is disabled on the chip, preventing true x64 bit OS virtual machines to run in it. Other than that, I have no problems to announce. It’s still early on for me however, since I just got the laptop about 1.5 months ago. I would recommend it to non-IT professionals. Unfortunately, I didn’t buy it for its entertainment value, but I’v got no compliants so far.

Its a nice laptop for the price but i have a major wireless problem, the only range i can pick up is about 5 feet from the modem any further i loose and it says no connections available i have tried to contact acer about the problem and they say its interference or my wireless is turned off (how can my wireless be turned off if i can pick up wireless at 5 feet)and i dont see no interference because my brother laptop can pick up the same wireless from anywhere in the house so in short costumer service stinks and the wireless stinks so i have to go and spend money again to try to get the wireless fixed, besides that i love the laptop

For $500, its decent, but the quality level is poor. The display is abysmal, with a viewing angle of a cheap digital camera display. The blacks look blue when you move your head more than an inch in either direction from dead center. I suppose it is relatively sharp, but that’s about it. The touch pad is just awful–as is the click pad beneath it. Both are either unresponsive, or clunky feeling (click pad). However, the keyboard is definitely good and feels tactile and responsive. The sound ‘quality’ haha…is a joke. Its hallow sounding and practically useless, I would use headphones instead. There are plenty of ports and they are located well. The battery doesn’t come near the 4.5 hours quoted in the description.

The bottom line is the physical laptop just feels cheap and is not at all enjoyable. From the clickpad being clunky and plastic feeling, to the sticky opening of the display.

I would not recommend this laptop, even in this price range there are better options.
