    I own this monitor for more than one month ago and no problems (no one dead pixel neither something strange).

    The configuration was automatic at the maximun resolution of 1440×900 without installing anything else.

    The brightness is great. The options for manual configuration are enough for general purpose with some predefined modes, but really, I didn’t need to make any change on it.

    The value of this monitor is wonderful compared to other brands. I’m very satisfied.

    Very good value. Cannot find anything to change about this product. Use two monitors side by side everyday for my trading and they work great. They replaced two older 19 inch Planar monitors which failed after about 10 years of service.

    I bought this as a gift for my dad, to replace his very old CRT monitor. The color and look is excellent and the 1440×900 screen resolution is perfect for his needs. Time will tell how well it holds up, but I’m pretty sure that this monitor will serve him well. For the price, I couldn’t be happier with the purchase. He loves it too!

    I’ve owned this monitor for 3 months and have had no problems. Screen is very bright and the colors vibrant (and appear true); contrast is terrific. Required no setup with Windows 7; just plug it into the computer port and you’re ready to go. The screen has a non-reflective, matte surface so it works very well in a bright environment. There are quite a few customization settings (accessible through the familiar button interface on the front panel), but I didn’t feel the need to adjust beyond usual brightness and contrast. Price is *significantly* lower than competitors, and performs as well as much more expensive monitors I’ve had in the past. Asus has a good reputation so I anticipate this monitor will last as long time.

    Sleepy beauty… is the term I give to all those old brands that do not pay attention to newer and (for many) unknown brands.

    People… ASUS has the tecnology and quality you need. I’ve been using DELL, HP and Viewsonic monitors for 15 years now. This ASUS monitor is way over them.

    Just a read: The image is OUTSTANDING… no heat… it’s a good looking babe.

    I’ll be buying another one, maybe larger, soon… defenitively from ASUS.

    Do you need a monitor? Buy ASUS.
