I have owned the monitor for 1 month now and find it very reliable. It has been moved and used on several systems (PC, MAC mini, PS3, and Amiga 3000) without a problem. The image quality is excellent and the built in audio is very good. Several people have complained about the audio quality of the built in speakers, but it does not sound bad to me. The audio quality is as good as the PC speakers I had been using for several years.

I have found that multiple connections (VGA, HDMI) can be made to the monitor at the same time and it is easy to switch between them using the menu button when desired.

Some have complained of the menu buttons, but I find them easy to use. There is a convenient quick access button for volume and brightness control. I use the volume control often and find this feature that ASUS included to be very helpful.

Excellent product. I am very pleased with it. I have had it for just under a month and I have found no cons with it. I would recommend it to a friend.

The price is right on this monitor and that’s about it. The picture quality is fuzzy and awful in the native resolution. There is a large amount of flickering at window borders and in certain types of textures. I have an old Samsung 170T side by side with this display that looks so much better, and it is from 5 years ago. It doesn’t have any of these problems on the same images (running them in dual display mode).

Games look awful. Windows desktop looks awful. Everything looks terrible on this monitor. It actually hurts my eyes to look at it. It is one of the worst LCD displays I have ever seen.

So I ordered a replacement because I thought maybe mine was simply defective. The replacement send by Amazon was completely broken. It didn’t even turn on. Amazon did not pack this well enough, and I could tell the monitor was bouncing around inside while it shipped. I’m not sure if it broke on the way, or if Asus send Amazon a broken product. I suspect the latter.

Now I have two monitors, one of which is completely broken, the other of subpar quality, and I want neither of them.

Terrible product. Stay away from this monitor, and in my opinion, stay away from Asus products, in general, if this product is any indication of their quality.

I’ve been using this monitor with its “out of the box” settings for almost a month. The monitor arrived with a single dead red pixel near the center of the screen, which makes it annoying but it is otherwise not a problem. The colors are not great, at least not out of the box. I also have an Acer B243W bdr 24.4-Inch LCD Monitor that I was using on the same computer, and the colors and quality of that monitor were quite perceivably better. Having said all that, the Asus monitor has performed well through nearly constant gaming (World of Warcraft, Crysis, and Dragon Age). Overall, the monitor is adequate for being under $200, but I would probably choose a different monitor if I had to do it all over again.
