    I’m using XP 32-bit SP3 and the installation aborts with a message “You must use the DVD-ROM to install”.

    1. Attempted to install using my internal drive – No good
    2. Attempted to install using the external drive – No good
    3. Downloaded the files from Buffalo’s website, it’s just an image of the disk – No good
    4. Contacted support and got no response

    The unit might be great, but without the software it’s useless. Oh yeah, doesn’t work with XP 64-bit.

    Buffalo just makes cheap quality junk. I’ve used other products and they always seem to fall short.

    easy enough to set up. worked right out of the box windows 7 64bit laptop.

    no complaints so far. been 2 months. i’m consolidating my backup disks to blue ray. one draw back. the disks are on the expensive side. they’ll probably come down in price the more people buy them.

    all in all i’m satisfied.
