We needed a set of speakers to “boost” our TV speakers and I was hesitant about these due to their being so cheap. But I read the reviews and decided if they weren’t good, I was only out $40. Wow…very, very glad that I chose to get these! We do not have a home entertainment center (surround sound) so we are only using the TV L/R inputs…have all speakers set up around the living room (love the long surround wires) and they sound awesome! Crisp highs, steady lows, and consistent variables! No distortion (even when on XM Satellite stations and booming) and while the RCA cords are short, they reached from our TV to the receiver/subwoofer.

The only complaint? No remote to turn volume up or down. As we have them run through our TV outputs in the back, our TV remote will not reduce the sound…a good remote control would have been worth paying an extra $10; my husband says Cody is contributing to the “beat out obesity” trend in our world by making us get up off the couch and turn the unit down! ;-)

Highly recommended and very satisfied! Took us less than 10 minutes to set it up and the speaker wires are all color coordinated – easy to install.

Thank you Amazon and Cody for another great electronic product!

For $40, plus about 40′ of speaker cable spliced into the left, right, and center speakers, this is a great product. Since my media room has the receiver mid-room, the short cables on the L/C/R speakers was insufficient. It was a simple task to splice in some extra speaker cable though.

It’s just a 20′ x 13′ media room, but these speakers fill it pretty decent and I have no complaints.

Easy to set up. I am limited in space where I set this up and it fits in very nicely. You can’t beat the price for this unit. You might want something bigger if you have a very large room. A remote control would be nice, but at this low price you can’t expect everything!

For the low price, this amplifier system is good.
Good volume, fair sound, everything included (RCA connection cables to go to your surround sound source were surprisingly included in the system).
Disadvantages: short cable runs for speakers (usable, but not for a large room), volume’s lowest setting seems a bit high, volume control is unavoidably a knob on the subwoofer (since your going from component outputs, their is no volume control through your source).

Overall: At least as good as expected, possibly better (which for this price is impressive).

Stuck with my new LCD screen, and the crummy on-board speakers, leaves you much to want when it comes to watching TV or movies. After reading a lot of reviews online about different speakers and different products, I ultimately settled on these, and have not been dissapointed! The speakers have some really high-gauge wire, so you’re not going to get the most out of other systems, but honestly it works! It would have been really nice to see some sort of remote to control the system, since it’s pretty boring to constantly get up and adjust the volume on-top of the unit, but otherwise, it’s a great fit. If you have a small place, and need some new speakers, these are awesome, and you won’t be dissapointed!

PROS: Cheap, 5 channels, adjustable bass + treble
CONS: No remote to control volume, not a whole lot of bass
