Kodak Launches a new 35mm FILM Camera
3+ hour, 41+ min ago (310+ words) Yes, the 1990s called, and Kodak is back in the news again for film stuff. This time, Kodak launched the Snapic A1. This camera is actually made by a company called Reto, which has licensed the Kodak name since 2022. Reto was also responsible for developing the Kodak Charmera and Ektar H35. This comes on the heels of Kodak Eastman regaining control over film distribution, and the new Kodak Kodacolor 100 and 200 films are being released by Kodak as announced in October. The Snapic A1 will sell for $99 and comes with "advanced" film features, including automatic wind and rewind, as well as an automatic flash. The camera uses AAA batteries, which are claimed to last around 10 rolls of film. The camera is small at 118x63x24mm and weighs 117g without film or batteries installed. 1+ hour, 24+ min ago (538+ words) Canon has had a busy last couple of months with the announcements of the Cinema EOS C50, EOS R6 Mark III and RF 45mm f/1.2 STM. The latter being extremely popular going by the pre-order numbers that we have seen. Prior to the announcement of the EOS R6 Mark III, there were other "embargoed" dates told to us, and I believe the one for the end of November was the official shipping date for the EOS R6 Mark III. I hadn't thought of that possibility at the time. So, there will be no lens announcements this week. I know at least two new lenses are going to be announced in the near future, though I don't know the exact time window when we can except news. We know that the RF 20-50mm f/4 PZ for full-frame cameras will be coming. I think such a lens is aimed…...
